This Christmas Break I made it my goal to get to Idaho to visit my Grandparents. Abby was 4 the last time we were up...Yea No Dallin Or Emma. We were due...
Unfortunately we are always being pulled in so many directions that we never no matter how hard we have tried been able to make it up to visit. Well..........
We did and It was FABULOUS! MARVELOUS and SO NEEDED!New Years Day Morning Jason, Glenda Zach and our family all headed up together!
I had forgotten just how much I love these amazing spirits!
We were going to bring dinner to them and even offered to take them out but they INSISTED that we just come and not to worry...
Yeah no worries ...
My Grandmother prepared her most DELECTABLE lasagna and it tasted YUMLISIOUS...And then she made apple cobbler and Homemade clam chowder.
We played a game of Phase 10 ( I won by the way...I NEVER win anything!)
and had lots of laughs and visits.
But most of all sat in awe at these two amazing people. I wish I had all the time in the world to spend and learn from them. I can not even begin to express the love that I felt from them in those 6 hours we spent with them. My grandmother was a perfect host as she has always been.
My Grandfathers kind words of concern for his family and neighbors were spoken in such a a way you hung on every word.
Of course my Grandmothers laugh was enough to chase any blues away!
I love them and I am so grateful for the moment we spent
with them!

Of course I can not take my
family anywhere and have them not
organize or clean something...So here is Dad and
Abby's work in the playroom...

Emma and the infamous cardboard bricks!

The
boyz and the
wooden blocks....

now my Grandmother had a great story about how she ordered this machine out of a
magazine..It didn't work and sent it back...Well It works and
Emma loved it!
I can only ope to make another get away to Murtaugh soon...It was like Caffeine for the soul!
I love you Grandma and Grandpa!
