Last week we had the great privilege of spending the evening with a hero of ours. Kristy has endured a horrific war with cancer. It pulls my heart strings to even think of all she has had to endure and endured it like a war hero. Well she finished her final treatment last week. Of course we had to celebrate!

Here she is with her hubby! Our SUPERWOMAN Kristy! Her sister Lori went through the same surgeries to last Tuesday. Her mother emailed this....

Her surgery went well, although horrendous. 3 major surgeries in one stint (5 hrs.)!!!She didn't get to her room until 6:30pm Tues. I stayed on until the wee hours, to be sure she was with it enough to push her call button She's having lots of misery from the pectoral muscles they lifted to put in the expander's for her re-construction. (I hope she's going to be happy that she's chosen that route. It's Chinese torture & not a permanent fix.) Most everyone I've known has been back 1-2-3- times for a tune up surgery! Les is in picking her up now. Insurance gave her 2 nights for all that! I think it's barbaric, but they don't ever ask me! Thank you for your prayers, love & concern. You're the best. Maya Jade

Born Wednesday at 6:04pm Maya weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz; she measured 20 inches long and has dark hair.

We are happy that mom and Maya are doing great...even after such a long day!

And A very Happy 3rd Birthday today to Cami!

Our Big Bad WOLF and Dumb and Dumber?

Dallin has been working like crazy...He has wanted to earn his wolf since the second he turned eight. He was disappointed when he didn't earn it at the same time he earned his Bobcat...Well he did it. Tonight he earned it and he still has 7 months to go until he becomes a Bear so now he is earning his points.

They played water games outside and Emma of course had a great time with Diana. But the greatest part of the evening was...

Dumb and Dumber!

Scott and Kevin! This was great. Kevin came late and was in his suit. He realized he and Scott had the same shirt...He asked me to stall and he ran home and changed into the same outfit as his buddy! What a trooper Scott was...Anyone who knows Scott...He hates to even be in the same color sceam with anyone he might know...So amazingly enough he laughed along and we all enjoyed our evening smores with....

Scott and Kevin...but it was really only about ...Kevin!(MOAB)

Oakley thought it was weird that the guy had the same shirt as his dad....Scott was pleased to be the thinner of the two...But they both at the same time said they were wearing the wrong stripe ...it needed to run the other way to be slimming and then they agreed it was sad they both knew that!

JOY? School

Emma started Joy School today(sigh)...This is my way of holding on to my baby as long as I possibly can.... On her way...

I am so fortunate to have 7 other SUPERMOMS in our neighborhood! We all got together and decided to do Joy school...I think after we got them all together we saw what we are in for. They are a lively bunch Jenny.

When I asked Emma if she had a good time she said" yeah sure..."

so I asked her what she did,"Mrs. Pearson read us story, but I didn't want to listen ., I went and took a rest.."

You can only imagine what I thought!

She did love the outside time...surprise...and snack time!

I pray it gets better...She did enjoy learning the pledge and putting her hand on her heart!

It was weird for me today because when the others went off to preschool I had a baby to take care of....I think I can adjust!

Besides when it isn't my week to teach I have meetings...I just won't have to take along an extra bag with a zoo inside...I think I can get used to that as well.

Firsts!

Emma had GREAT birthday!

Abby held the cake for the first time so mom could watch. Emma got HER first American Girl Doll for her birthday...Elizabeth...Emma's middle name.Emma loaded her first backpack and off we went to Chuck-A -Rama for dinner with Grandma Lee and Grandpa Darling. She wanted "Pocaroni, Chocolate milk and ice cream for dinner.Emma informed us that we had to go to build a bear because it was her birthday...Dad fell for it and she said she would share her birthday so everyone got to build a bear...

They have the BEST dad. Mom's Birthday sand which!Emma's first day back on the job...riding her birthday bike from grandma. Dallins first day of 3rd grade and his first year all by himself at school. I missed everyday this week watching those girls running into school and coming out to tell me all about the day...

Although it brought tears to my eyes when I turned the corner coming home from one of my crossing shifts...Abby had just gotten dropped off from the bus and she saw me and started running to the truck...jumped up and started telling me about the day...

I think I will make it...until tomorrow anyway!

Queen for The Day! Or Always!

Our baby Meme is 4 today. Emma we hope you do feel like "real princess " on this special day. She had a great day yesterday spent with family and she had a video call with Grandma and Grandpa in Ireland this morning and she showed them EVERYTHING she got.

The Last 24 Hours!

This is what I wrote...

My Sweetheart Abby is going to Jr. High!She is AMAZING!She rises above and beyond what any mom could ask for.This summer I went to work to help out...Dad went back to school for his masters.She spent her summer...willingly... taking care of her younger brother and sister.Not to mention keeping the house straight, helping them with the summer chores and workbooks, reading them stories, walked them to and from the library and summer movies.She is a doll and a the best friend.She went to girls camp this summer and we all missed her! Nieca I cry every year when I drop them off at school...It is soooooooooo hard to let them grow up. "Let them be little!" After putting her on the bus and waving good bye, we came home and found little notes on all of our pillows. She left them for us with words of luv and kisses!She started her own business to pay for her dance camp and other activities this summer...Abbys Attic. She sells hair flower clips and bows. She made over $500.00, and that was after paying for her supplies. She is working on a girls apron pattern for fall.She loves life and she brings sunshine in to anyone's life just being near her.I am so fortunate to have been blessed to be HER mother!Please grant her this special time to begin this new chapter in her life...SHE DE"SERVE"S IT

Can I say that I am exhausted! I think I was more nervous for ABBY THAN SHE WAS! I had no idea what they had planned for her hair..but I was so pleased with the decisions they made and how brilliant Matthew and Dallan were. They were so fun and so good with Ab! They talked with her and laughed with her and really spent time with her.... 2 HOURS! She had the best time.

I can not tell you how much today meant for me. Abby has been incredible this summer and this was a real reward for her. She deserved every bit of it. Also I got to meet my favorite girls. On the way home Dallin commented on how it seemed like they were our best friends...well we watch them most days and we spend that time together me and the kids...we do the crafted, the cooking and talk about the things they do...They are our friend sand they were so nice to us and said the nicest things to Abby...As we left they even hollered out to us that I should come and guest host...we shall see...after all I have a lot of spare time...I could swing it.
