Happy Birthday Baby Roo!

Ready! Set! Roll!

Another Crazy day here!
It began with my final PTA board meeting... Yeah !
I survived this incredible year!
AS I closed that chapter in our family's life...I began a new one...
For the next 2 years I will be serving as the Orem Council PTA President...What?! Yep they asked...Haven't learned to say No...Accepted and here we roll!
Abby over heard me talking with Scott about my new board and she EXCLAIMED
" You have a treasurer...secretary...membership...it is the exact same thing mom!" Not really we told her..bigger job less busy work and
I get to keep my eyes on her at Canyon View...
HA! HA! HA!
Then Off we went home to scouts where Scott got calls to help boys finish their cars for the pine wood and the another 911 call in our ward and then the Pine wood Derby! IT WAS A BLAST!
Here they are at weigh in...I say they because Scott was actually as excited as Dallin! ( he even brought his car in hope to race it..actually just in case any Little guy didn't have one)The beginning of the line up! First heat! Three FASTEST Cars! So fast they all jumped the track and landed three feet away....
Reminded me of the Dukes of Hazard!
So they built this high quality protection so they had a soft landing !
Dallin made it in the finals, and took fourth!
Way to go BUD! Scotts old car took fifth!
Dallin's bud Noah needed a car and so Scott let him race his.
A few times we heard him cheering for Noah instead of Dallin...opps...
We know where his loyalties lie!
After finishing up there we headed over to a fiesta!

One of Scouts 12 year old scouts was graduating from High School

and had a big ol shin dig!

We even got Scott to wear a sombrero Wow!

Anyhow...on to another day!

15 Queens....dances...years...I'm done!

After 15 amazing years with the Miss Orem Pagent Program I decided to retire and move on. I met amazing, talented, genuine good women and had the most unbelievable opportunities through being involved. I became very aware and concerned for my community as I had the opportunity every year to rub shoulders with Orem City Council's, Mayors and 15 beautiful Miss Orem's.
GREAT MEN AND WOMEN!
I loved this and I am sad...
but it was time!

OUR WEKEND!

Friday Abby graduated from N.O.V.A. A program for 6 th graders teaching them to reach for excellence in all they do. The Orem Police Department came into the classrooms for 3 months and worked with them. She received 3 awards! The Project N.O.V.A. Award, fore her rocket she received the rank as Captain, Outstanding Constitution Award that she wrote and read to her class. And her Certificate of graduation from he Program. We love you Roo! You are a shining star in our lives and a great example in how to reach for the stars! Abby was then off to her final dance rehearsal for a special luncheon honoring Beverly Sorenson who donated 6 million dollars to the arts programs at BYU. She was asked to perform in a dance they will be doing at the lunch as a tribute to her.
Then mom and Emma went over to Dress Rehearsal for Miss Orem...Emma became best friends with our Little Miss Orem. What dolls.
Saturday we went up to Tremonton and had a surprise 90th Birthday party for my sweet Grandfather. He is such an amazing man. It was a great day. All but 12 of the family made it. He has 26 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren and this was HIS very first birthday party in his whole life. I LOVE YOU GRANDPA! His advice to all of us was to not quarrel with one another..nothing is worth being angry with one another about. He learned that mother being happy was the best thing for the home. AND he got his drivers license renewed! It was a great day!
We got home and Abby had informed me Friday morning that they had to build a castle for Monday at school....okay this was not the weekend to have that due...all well....we mad e a sandcastle cake...THANK YOU FAMILY FUN MAGAZINE...we did tweeck it just a bit bu making it pink! After we cleaned up from that mess..I had to make Abbys cake for the Tolman family birthday party on Sunday...So I made her a Beehive..she is going to be a beehive so I thought cool...(even though we had already decided to do this cake because her name was AbBEEE, we then later made the connection about her going into young women as a beehive) Any how it had 12 bees on the hive..This cake was a nightmare but it worked!Mom and Dads last birthday party before they leave in three weeks for Dublin Ireland. For their birthdays Aunt Beth made the scarfs for their mission and don't they model them well. My brothers put together this frame of mission tags with all of there and my Dads first tag and a place to add there when they come home....Dad's expression says it all. This is gonna be hard for me...trying to be tough! Any how it was a great weekend and we even managed to loose Scotts house key and this morning I had to go buy new locks...talk about a kill joy for the weekend!

Happy Mothers Day and NOT!

Dallins class did a melodrama that is a tradition for Mrs. Turner for Mothers Day...They sing songs and do this really sweet poem and each one has a part. Dallins part was
" My mom's a chauffeur and drives really slow,
she gets me to the places I need to go."
He looked so adorable!!!!!!!!!
Abby also had Mrs. Turner! WE LOVE HER! Dallin has grown leaps and bounds this year with her TLC! He played the part of the cow in the drama, they were going to be sold to the villain!
" A moo, a moo, a moo, moo, moo!" I said "a moo, a moo, a moo, moo, moo!"

THEY DIDN'T GET SOLD! That afternoon, the PTA hosted the first annual "TCA"......

TEACHERS CHOICE AWARDS

Abby read part of a tribute to the teachers! It was so much fun as each teachers class screamed and cheered for them!

We went out to the cemetery with grandma to put flowers out for Mothers Day! It looks just like there front door used to.And finally the NOT! last night after getting home from a game we got a knock at the back door...it was dad...he had to be driven home from school...he was Sick..did he let me take him to the ER....NO...MEN are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Stubborn!

I mad him stay home from work and we are going to get to the bottom of this! If he let someone drive his car and him home...something is definitely wrong...we are pretty sure he went into some sort of hypoglycemic shock...at least we hope that is all it is......So this was our sweet babies when we got back home. I told ab's to just get in our bed. Gosh they make the worst night better! Oh and tough ol bubba got hit in the shin by a line drive but still got the m out at first and ran off the Field with a big ol grin! Got home and it tore the skin off his leg! BOY OF STEEL!

Dancing Baseball!

Emma and Mommy finished up dance for the year two weeks ago!
We had sooooooo much fun being together..
Infact this past Tuesday, when we didn't have class,
we had our own little class at home because we missed it so much!Last Dancing Day!
Of course Emma had to wear three different skirts that day! The 16 Monkeys in the good-bye train! Our LITTLE class! Miss Miriam and her Emma! Emma adores her! This was our big showcase day! Emma did the best her best ever! On to Baseball!
Dallin rocked at his first Little League game!
He was the only player to hit to the outfeild
& had the ONLY defensive out of the game!
He loves his ball!
And I must say...he is the most adorable
first-basemen in his little uniform!
