Thirteen....13!

Our baby girl is 13 today!

13 years ago we brought home our angel, laid her on our bed looked at her and said...

"What do we do now?"

Well whatever we have done we have been blessed everyday by having this sweet daughter in our lives! She is a blessing to us and for whatever reason the Lord felt we deserved to be her parents and it truly has been privilege. so before I burst into tears I want to list the

the top 13 things I love about Abigail Julianne!

13. Her Example!

12. Her Leadership!

11. She loves her brother and sister and I can honestly say she would give them her life if she had to.

10. Her selflessness!

9. Her ability to follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Example...

"There is a gal that lives by us and for the last three years she has visited, invited her over, gone over to her home, taken her notes, cookies, gifts, hugs, comments of encouragement.....to help an uplift her and to help her feel welcome. All going unnoticed...All on her own because she knew and recognized the promptings the Holy Ghost was was giving her. Never once was it out of duty, Never once because an adult told her to be nice. Abby did it because her heart knew that little gal needed her. I Love that about Abby. She always feels for others.

8. She knows she is imperfect! Even though I think she is pretty perfect. She reminds us that even she has bad days...but she always apologies for them etheir by telling us with a hug or a little note and she alwayes knows what it is she has done and it isn't just that we are upset and she needs to say sorry.

7. So forgiving.

6. Her sense of humor....W!

5. Her social skills.

4. Her confidence!

3. Her talents!

2. Her ability to listen to us as her parents and willing to trust and follow our council even when it is socially hard to do things we asking her to do. She already realizes at 13 that the decisions she makes know effect her forever!

1. Her faith and testimony!

I could go on and on...but for know I just want Ab's to know how much I love her and how incredibly grateful every minute of everyday I am that the Lord heard and answered my prayers and HE KNEW I needed you in my life!

This song is for you!

Let Them Stay Little....Forever!!!

Scott and I decided before Emma grew up to much more that she needed to have a swing set.
So Friday at noon I got a call from Scott to meet him...We were getting the swing set!!!
So in between work shifts, dance concerts, dance rehearsals, baseball games , Mothers Day, and sleep with the help of everyone we built the kids swing set!
THEY ALL LOVE IT Form the Tween down to the four year old!My favorite moment of the entire process...becasue it was quite the process and took a few days..emma telling her Dad he needed to quit his job so he could get her swing set built, cause it was taking a hundred years!Emma had the first swing and loved it! Mom does to. Today I stood at the kitchen window watching my baby swing her toes for the sky!!!All three of them LOVE it! Thanks Dad your the best!

I Don't Dance! !!!

The Tigers had a three game series this weekend and Swept them!!!
6-1, 6-2, 13-0!
They are doing fabulous!
But he informed me at Abby's performance when I asked him if he wanted to dance with Ab in her BYU program..."Mom...I don't dance...I play Baseball!" Abby however does dance and did absolutely AMAZING! Her company's piece was unreal for 13 year old. It was titled
Happiness is... Freedom
It was about the the slaves being delivered out of bondage in Egypt.
They audience was left in tears and awe at intermission after the piece had finished! The choreography was astounding!
Abby had a the solo of Miriam in the piece Moses sister.
With the experiences she has had this year her dancing ability has soared.
I was amazed at my little princess and the way she moved in the piece.
All you heard after the evening performance was how incredible the Freedom Dance was!
Scott, whom takes alotto be impressed by, felt it was as good as the BYU Performances you see by the college students on KBYU!
Way to go Girls!!!!!!
Go HERE to hear the music!
