Joy In Every Moment!

Joy is finding your princess asleep like the princess she is....Joy is watching your daughter make a birthday wish unforgettable to her bestest UNO! Joy is watching your 50lb bubba play tackle football like a monster!
Joy is knowing this little guy over came the fear of presenting in front of people!
Joy is watching all three of our babies take there place on the field on the same night!
JOy is Emma And Abby dancing on the feild.....
Joy is watching Scott take naps with his baby Jack.... Joy is Captain Jack....... Joy is lucky socks......
Joy is watching this girl climb a mountain that kicked her behind last week and take charge and win the entire race! Go First Place Roo!!!!!!!
Joy is my family! I find that even though we may move from one moment to the next At rapid pace, we love each other and support one another and find joy in each others accomplishments and ache in our disappointments. Helping our three children become who they are ment to become take's all of our free moments in life and I would not spend them anywhere else! When I am missing one of these moments my heart aches, for these days are so precious and will soon be only but a memory ...! I love you my babies.

The house is so quite:(

She started school this afternoon,
And she seemed so very small.
As I walked there beside her
In the Kindergarten hall.
And as she took her place beside
the others in the class,
I realized how all too soon
Those first few years can pass.
Remembering, I saw her as
She first learned how to walk.
The words that we alone made out
When she began to talk.
This little girl so much absorbed
In learning how to write.
It seems as though she must have grown
To girlhood overnight.
My eyes were blurred but hastily
I brushed the tears away
Lest by some word or sign of mine
I mar her first big day.
Oh how I longed to stay with her
And keep her by the hand
To lead her through the places
That she couldn’t understand.
And something closely kin to fear
Was mingled with my pride.
I knew she would no longer be
A baby by my side.
But she must have her chance to live,
To work her problems out,
The privilege to grow and learn
What life is all about.
And I must share my little girl
With friends and work and play;
She’s not a baby anymore
–She’s in Kindergarten today.

Heartstrings

I came across this incredible young mans story and his journey. He is our Abby's age. The baseball tournament he last played in while in St. George, Abby's friends were playing in the same tournament, same age. Really pulled at my heart... Fifteen weeks ago we watched as our 14 year old boy Davis pitched and played 4 baseball games in two days; then hiked Lizard Head and Snow Canyon in St. George, Utah. Within 5 days of these events Davis began to exhibit the first of many life-threatening challenges. Even today to look at Davis, you see a typical young boy with a love of sports, friends and family. His outward appearance does not indicate the battle that is raging within his body. In March of 2010, Davis began with petechiae which are pinpoint round red spots that appear as a result of bleeding under the skin on his lower legs, that began to move to other extremities and into his mouth. Lab results indicated that Davis had a severe low platelet count and did not have the ability to clot with or without injury. Even a slight jolt with a seat belt could cause extreme internal bleeding. He was placed on decreased physical activity precautions and had to give up sports, boating and even jumping the stairs two-by-two. More tests were done as he began to prepare to finish 8th grade and run for 9th grade officer. Results from further labs indicated that he did not have an immune system thus putting him at increased possibility for infections and disease. He was grounded from all outside activity that would place him at risk. This meant no friends, no activities, no elections. This was a difficult time as he continued through testing and tried to finish the school year from home. To his credit and much to our gratitude, the student body of KJH(Kaysville Junior High) rallied around him and voted him into the position of 9th grade Vice President. The sting of the social isolation was lightened with the love and his anticipation of being a part of something for the future. Read more about Davis here Cherish every moment!

The Moments you NEVER miss!

What a moment. Watching our little family rally around our dad as he accomplished one of the greatest moments in his life! He looked so good. In his robes and hood. The stress of the past few years gone, all four of us in the stands waving and hollering Master Dad as he waved back with his little box of nerds. Then looking in the program and his name been listed under Distinction for academic honors:) He accomplished a great thing and has become someone he is working so hard to become. We were of excited for him. He made some life long friendships as well as eternal education. It was a great moment that can not be replaced by anything. Seeing our 3 children so excited for him....running down to greet him after his name was called and wanting there turn to try his cap on. They have learned so much by his example. We all said to him...OK dad now its PhD. Your not done!" And we all meant it. We all see his love for knowledge and will forever support him wherever his quest takes him. As well as supporting each other in in each of our dreams!
Congratulations Scott!
